[log] Moon Warriors
Who: Princess Venus
idolater, Princess Mars
faithfulflame
Summary: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful kingdom on the Moon. The Queen of the Moon sought protection for her delicate daughter, calling a warrior from each of the planets of the Solar System. Unfortunately, the strongest warriors of the planets were also princesses...
Warnings: cute little princesses
She paced on the edge of the Mare, arms crossed over her stomach as though she were uncomfortable. The Princess of Venus had only been on the Moon Kingdom for a few days, and she wasn't having a very good time. At first, the idea of coming to the Moon Kingdom for an important job had excited her. After all, the Moon Kingdom was beautiful and peaceful. There appeared to be grand parties and balls being thrown all the time. So that would have meant it would be just like being at home, only in a different place.
And then Venus had gotten there, and it hadn't been all fun and games like she'd hoped. Actually, it was the exact opposite. It seemed that while the Moon Princess was able to loaf around and play, the other Princesses had to study and train. For what? To protect some bubble-headed brat? That wasn't fair!
Just thinking about it made the young girl stamp her foot in indignation right then and there. Venus was not the type to be serious. She wanted to play, too! Why was the Moon Kingdom so special that it needed warriors from other Kingdoms to protect it? Couldn't have Venus' mother requested the same thing? She didn't understand at all, and Venus wasn't that eager to learn all the reasoning behind it. She wanted to go home!

Though, her arrival seemed oddly timed as there were other princesses arriving, and that thought was troubling. What if something happened on Mars? Or Jupiter? Or Venus and Mercury? It was distressing, really, that their homes were bereft of their royal guardians for the sake of the Moon. Was there no other who could do the job?
This naturally led the young Mars to roam the palace halls, a quiet, solemn youth with a serious demeanor. Which was the perfect place to run into Princess Venus, though Mars just gave her a grave look and made to continue on.

Venus had seen Mars a few times before in her childhood, during periods when the planets would get together for celebrations. And occasionally, Martians would visit the planet of Venus for work or even play. And yet, Venus was quite certain they had barely spoken ten words to each other.
Well? As angry as she was, Venus wondered if she could remedy that. She wasn't tired and desperately wanted someone to talk to. Perhaps Mars would share in her frustrations. So she decided to engage the other girl.
"Hello!" she said cheerfully, though keeping her voice low so that she wouldn't wake people up. "You can't sleep either?"

The warrior princess slowed though, because honestly if anyone could understand what she was thinking, it was likely to be someone who was in the exact same situation. That made them more alike than she cared to admit, really. And then there was that question. It hit the nail on the head, a blunt and simple observation that none of the other residents had seemed to pick up on.
"No," Mars answered, coming to a stop and fixing violet eyes onto the other girl. "It's difficult to sleep in this place. It's so different from home."

"Really?" she asked, curious. The Venusian princess hadn't thought that that would be the reason keeping Mars awake. "What's different about it?"

"Everything is so soft here. It's too quiet, too peaceful. Nothing at all like home." Still looking away, she went on, "And that princess...all these parties. It's exhausting."
sorry, been in kind of a slump
"It's too early for you to be exhausted," she said, smiling playfully. "Aren't we here to fight?"
s'ok, same.
"And because I'd rather have peace than war. Surely you feel the same."

"The warriors on my planet are not only graceful and beautiful, but they're also very strong. Not everyone has to fight like a bunch of hotheaded barbarians to be a warrior!"
